FORM ANNOUNCEMENTS

1.         Changes to the School Day over the next week.

            Tuesday 29 June    - School closes at 1.30 p.m. -shorter 5 period day

                                                  Junior Celebration of Success at 2.30 p.m.

            Wednesday 30 June - School closes as 12 noon.

 

2.         Junior Celebration of Success

All pupils receiving a prize or involved in Junior Celebration of Success must attend the rehearsal on Monday 28 June at 2.00 pm.

All Yr 8 & 9 pupils taking part in the Junior Celebration of Success should cross over to Cranmore Campus at 2 pm on Monday. These pupils will remain on the Cranmore Campus until the rehearsal is over and will leave from Cranmore Campus.

Prize winners in Year 10 should go to the Assembly Hall immediately after lunch.

Junior Celebration of Success at 2.30 pm on Tuesday 29 June.

All Prize Winners must be in full winter school uniform, including tights.

Any pupil who is not receiving a prize may go home at 1.30 pm.

 

3.         Music Rehearsals

Music rehearsals involving the Junior Choir and Orchestra will take place on Monday 28 June between 11.30 am and 1.20 pm. Junior Choir should meet in the Cranmore Assembly Hall at 11.30 am. Junior orchestra should meet there at 12.30 pm.

 

4.         Notice for Year 11 Pupils going to Fleming Fulton

Pupils who are going to Fleming Fulton School tomorrow are reminded that they should meet Miss Boyle outside Drumglass at 9am and should bring a packed lunch with them. If you have not returned your permission slip to Miss Bothwell you should do so asap. Thank you for volunteering to help out with this event.

 

5.         P E Department

            Tennis

Congratulations to the Minor, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Tennis Teams on reaching the Ulster final – a tremendous achievement. The Minor and Senior teams are Ulster Champions after their wins over Strathearn and Friends. The Junior and Inter Teams are runner-up following their matches with Wallace and Strathearn respectively.

Junior – Amy McFarland, Emma Russell, Olivia Blundell, Jessica Bamber

            Inter – Tara Conlin, Tori Kerr, Cara Bell, Emma Dornan

Senior – Shannon Andrews, Bronwyn McLean, Lucie Frazer, Joanna Bamber

Singles/Doubles– If you would like to play in the end of year Tennis Competitions please give your name into the school office by breaktime today.

            World Cup Week

Don’t forget! Look out your football kit (and your vuvuzela!). Games classes are ‘football’ this week.

            Athletics

Athletics Northern Ireland are talent scouting. If you are interested in joining the ‘Rising Stars Squad’ (formerly RDS) please see Miss Stewart today. You must be aged 12-14 and meet the standards set. There is a charge for the yearly coaching programme.

Congratulations to our Year 9 Athletics Teams on finishing second in Ulster in the U14 Competition.

Rachel Hanley, Emma McAllister and Elizabeth Lawther were selected for the Regional U14 Athletics Team to compete in the inter-district Ulster final.

Congratulations to the U14 gaelic football team who won the St. Genevieve’s Shield after beating St Mary’s Magherafelt, Our Lady & St Patrick’s Knock and Assumption Grammar School Ballynahinch.
