College Open Day 2012

Victoria College is an all girls’ school with a well established tradition of academic success. Whether you are P7 pupil thinking about your next school or an interested parent, we warmly invite you to come along to our Open Day on 28 January 2012 to get a flavour of Victoria College and sample what the school and staff have to offer all girls entering the next key stage in their education.

As Parents

As parents attending Open Day, we want to ensure that you have access to all the information you need and that you leave feeling you have obtained a real insight into life at Victoria College.  

With this in mind you will

• Hear about our excellent examination results with performance consistently above both the Northern Ireland and the UK average.

• Get insight into the benefits of having our Year 8 and 9 pupils based on the Richmond campus, geographically separate from the Middle and Senior School.

• Have the chance to meet our enthusiastic and dedicated staff who ensure that each pupil reaches her full potential within a supportive, caring and challenging environment.

• See the excellent sports facilities on site including our own swimming pool, and also hear how girls are encouraged to become fully involved in the many teams and individual sports on offer.                                                                                                  

• Hear how Victoria College has received the International School Award in recognition of the global dimension of education across the curriculum. Pupils have many opportunities to participate in educational trips and visits abroad and to use emerging technologies to communicate with partner schools in other countries.

As Pupils

As pupils attending Open Day, we want you to enjoy your morning at the

college, whilst

getting a valuable insight into how the runs.  The transfer from primary school can be scary at times but Victoria has many ways which help with this big change.  

We would love you to come along and enjoy a morning with us at the college and our staff and pupils will be there to help you with any questions that you may have.

You will;

• Have the opportunity to explore the school on both the junior and senior campus.

• Discover what clubs and societies that you can join.

• Find out about the trips and visits that take place in school.

• Meet the friendly teachers and staff and find out about their subjects.

• See some of the great work the school produces and see some of the great equipment that the school uses across all subjects.
