You will learn about:
- Working in the local and global economy – during your working life you may stay in Northern Ireland or you may choose to work in Europe or further afield.
- Career management – you need to know how to make the most of opportunities available to you and how to make important decisions such as choosing subjects.
- Enterprise and entrepreneurship – having ideas and making things happen in a classroom, a club or at home. In a business setting it is called entrepreneurship.
- Skills and qualities for work – in order to be employable in the future you need to develop certain skills and abilities to do a job well, such as decision making skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Pupils in Year 12 - 14 follow a comprehensive programme of Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance delivered through timetabled lessons. A wide variety of visiting speakers enhance the programme.
