Autumn Term 2017

Day Date Month Description
Tuesday 29 August First day of school for pupils in Year 8 and Year 14, and for new pupils only in years 9 to 13. Year 8 and Year 14 pupils attend between 9:00am and 3:00pm and bring packed lunch. New pupils in Years 9 - 13 attend between 9.00am and 10.30am.
Wednesday 30 August Year 8 and Year 14 attend between 9:00am and 3:00pm and bring packed lunch. All pupils in Years 9 - 13 attend between 10.00am and 12:00pm.
Thursday 31 August Normal school day. 08:40am - 3:10pm. Canteen lunch is available.
Tuesday 19 September Parents' Information Day. Years 8, 11 and 13 pupils attend specific specific sessions during the day (tbc). Years 9, 12 and 14 do not attend school on this day.
Wednesday 18 October Staff development day (Pupils in Years 8-14 do not attend school)
Mon-Fri 30 October Half Term Holiday from Monday 30 October to Friday 3 November inclusive.
Thursday 16 November Subject Information Advice Day. Years 10 and 12 pupils attend specific specific sessions during the day (tbc). All other year groups do not attend school on this day.

Notes:

School finishes at normal time for half-term.

When school finishes at 12 noon, the canteen does not serve lunch. 

When school finishes at 1.30 pm, we follow a shorter 5-period day and a canteen lunch is available.

Pupils are not required to attend school on staff development days. Some affect the entire school (including the Preparatory Department, whilst others only affect Senior School.
