International Dimension

Opportunities to travel and visit places of interest both close to home and further afield abound at Victoria College. Pupils have recently enjoyed ski trips to Bormio in Italy and Aspen, USA as well as trips to Huelva, Paris, London, New York, Washington and Rome.

The international dimension is embedded and celebrated across the curriculum. The College maintains many international partnerships and links and is proud to be awarded its third prestigious British Council International School Award (ISA) in recognition of the international dimension within and beyond the curriculum.

Pupils have opportunities to participate in a wide range of events, accredited programmes and competitions including the Mock Council of the European Union, the European Youth Parliament, the European Studies Programme, ASDAN, EurVoice, Euroscola and much more.

The College is recognised as an Elos school for its commitment to making the European and international dimension a matter of school policy.

Fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the College, so that young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need to live and work as global citizens.
