Victoria College Open Afternoon will give P7 pupils and their parents the opportunity to tour our Richmond campus and view classes in action.
There will also be the opportunity to visit our Cranmore campus and see our new PE and Art facilities. Staff and students will greet guests from 1.45pm in the Assembly Hall on the Richmond campus.
If you have followed the news story regarding the tragic death of Molly Russell (14) you will note that her father places heavy criticism on social media content which sensationalises self-harm and suicide. We cannot deny that our children face many pressures today and are at times, searching desperately for ways to cope. Here at VCB we do not shy away from mental health issues and take an active role in teaching our pupils resilience and healthy coping strategies. If you are concerned that your child is self – harming, please look at the following guide entitled Coping with Self Harm - a guide for parents and carers.
In VCB we want you to be confident in who you are. We delight in the diversity of our community and celebrate your unique talents, skills and ambitions.
Beauty is being real and accepting you are special, with incredible gifts and potential. Never try to change who you are to fit in with what the media says is beautiful.
As we discussed in assembly, character counts and our core values help us to be the best version of ourselves. Beauty is much more than airbrushed photos!
College will be available to receive phone calls regarding the Transfer results on Saturday 26 January from 10.00-12.00 noon – 028 90661506
VCB - Values, Confidence, Belief
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Open Day on Saturday. Pupils, staff and Governors really enjoyed the opportunity to share with you all that is best about our school, to showcase our pupils’ work and to talk to you about their experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. I am sure that you will have got a sense of Victoria being a high performing and happy school where pastoral care is key to enabling our pupils to learn and achieve. We are very proud of our school and I trust you were impressed by our confident and enthusiastic pupils who benefit from being in an all girls’ school where we believe in them and encourage them to be the best they can be.
If you missed our Open Day we will be delighted to welcome you on Thursday 31st January from 2:00pm to visit the Junior campus at Marlborough Park North.
This will be a normal teaching day but pupils and staff will be delighted to meet with you and allow you to share in their classroom activities.
If you are interested in attending please let the Office know in advance by telephoning 02890661506.
