Summer School in Corpus Christi College, Cambridge - July 2018

During July 2018 Katie Kerr, Manpreet Kaur and  Sarah Hand from year 14 had the amazing experience of participating in the Northern Ireland Residential Summer School in Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.

Manpreet and Sarah attended lectures on ‘New MRI methods for imaging disease’, ‘Inorganic Chemistry in Medicine, Biology and Society’ and ‘The Breakdown of Biochemistry’ whilst Katie attended multiple lectures on History, Politics and International Relations.

The final day of their visit was the university open day where they had the opportunity to speak to professors about their chosen fields of study and to learn more about the application process and college system at the university.

Future Scientific Innovator

Congratulations to Veena Sivakumar, who has been accepted into the prestigious New York Academy of Sciences’ Junior Academy.

The New York Academy of Sciences is one of the country’s oldest and most widely respected scientific organizations, whose aim is to prepare the next generation of scientific innovators

Veena will have the opportunity to collaborate with 2,000 students from 85 countries on virtual challenges sponsored by industry leading companies and hosted on the Junior Academy’s innovation platform, Launchpad.
