I am leading

The pupil voice is very strong within the College and all pupils have an opportunity to express their views through a range of forums including the monthly Student Council Meetings.

Pupils at Victoria College are encouraged to seek out and step up to a wide range of leadership opportunities throughout their school career.

The Student Council meetings are chaired by the Head Girl and Deputy Head Girls with the Councillors and Vice Councillors from each form class leading the discussions. Each of the 62 Prefects are assigned a specific role within the school community and these include leading form class, co-ordinating music, sport, charity and other activities.

The College also operates a House system where the House Prefects organise events throughout the year. Our Primary School Ambassadors, Librarians and Eco Councillors also play a vital role within the school and local communities, co-ordinating and facilitating a range of activities and events. The Mentoring Programme provides further opportunity for all senior pupils to adopt a mentoring role across all curriculum subjects, offering support to pupils in other year groups. This programme aims to promote positive working relationships and further develops leadership capacity across the College.
