Wendy Blundell OBE
Engineering and business: Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer. Worked in design consultancy and now Director at Institution of Civil Engineers, a professional membership body which supports a worldwide membership and liaises with governments and industry on infrastructure matters and the built environment.
Mrs G Wells MB BCh BAO MRCGP MFCH - Vice Chair of the Board
Medical and Public Sector Background: An Old Girl of Victoria College and qualified in medicine from Queens University in the late 1970s. She has 20 years’ experience as a Director in Health and Social Care Trusts in Northern Ireland. She commenced on the Victoria College Board as a Parent Governor when her daughter was in the Preparatory School. She has over 25 years’ experience as a Governor in the College and chaired the previous General Purposes Committee for several years. She is currently Vice-Chair of the Board, she chairs the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee and is the Designated Governor for Safeguarding and Child Protection.

Medical Background: Retired General Practitioner with specialist interest in young people’s medical issues. Past President of the NI Branch of the Medical Women’s Federation and Past President of the Ulster Society of Organists & Choirmasters. Former pupil and Deputy Chairman of the Old Girls' Association. Parent Governor 1997 – 2001. Subsequently Department of Education Governor and Foundation Governor.

Medical Background: Consultant Pathologist, with a special interest in women’s health issues. Is passionate about both health care needs and educational needs for girls, equipping them to be future leaders and confident young adults.

Human Resources/Education: BSc Hons and currently studying Law at Queen’s University. Formerly Assistant Human Resources Manager at Landsmann Services, a real estate and hospitality firm. Member of Preparatory and Boarding Committee. Member of VCB Board since 2015.
Mrs K Goddard BEd MSc
Education Sector: Teacher Governor. Head of Art and Design at Victoria College Belfast since September 2015. Previously worked in various pastoral and departmental roles in Kent, England since 2005. Member of VCB Board since 2018.
Mr L Gorman BEd
Education Sector: Teacher of Software Systems Development and Digital Technology. Head of Year. Joined Victoria College September 2014 having taught for 7 years in Kent and London. BEd Hons and Certificate in Religious Education from St Mary’s University College, Belfast. Teacher Governor, member since December 2017.
Dr B J Gregory BSc PhD CEng MICE, MIEI, FCIWM
Engineering: Chartered Engineer, with wide experience in both the private and public sector in the delivery of major programmes and infrastructure projects. Advisor with the Strategic Investment Board, where his current roles include providing support to Ulster University on the Belfast Region and North West City Deals. He is also the acting CEx of the Maze Long Kesh Development Corporation. Current Board Member and past Chairman of the Governing Bodies Association – the umbrella sectoral body representing the interests of Voluntary Grammar Schools.

Consulting Engineering, Procurement and Project Management: Currently leading project management services delivery to UK and Republic of Ireland in support of RPS engineering consultancy based in Belfast. Provides the Board withexpertise for project management, construction-related procurement, contract management and engineering sustainability assessment. Also leading a team providing construction health & safety advisory services. Formerly Director of Africon Ireland Ltd, managing the Dublin office and Divisional Director of Africon's project management division (South Africa). Member of VCB Board since 2010.

Accountancy background: Director of Finance and Head of Corporate Services for the Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service. Serves as independent member on a number of other public sector audit and risk committees.

Retired doctor. Former pupil of Richmond Lodge School and parent of former pupil of Victoria College. Member of Human Resources Committee.

Higher Education & Marketing Communications: Currently Director of the Vice Chancellor’s office at Ulster University. Previously Marcomms Director of UK’s largest Sector Skills Council, CITB-ConstructionSkills. Directed the Marketing Communications of the UK’s first City of Culture in Derry/Londonderry. Strategic Communications Adviser at SIB. Member of VCB Board since 2010.

Carmel Lewis Education Sector: Formerly primary school teacher with expertise in Special Needs. Teacher Certificate and Special Needs Diploma. Public representative on Fair Employment and Industrial Tribunals for fourteen years. Mother and grandmother with a passionate interest in the education of all children.
Mr C McCrory BSc
Construction Sector and Procurement: Construction professional with 20 years’ experience in the construction industry at a senior level. Currently with Strategic Investment Board (SIB) with responsibility for the management of strategic capital works projects. Has directed and led the procurement of some of the largest public infrastructure projects in Northern Ireland and elsewhere in recent years, including Enniskillen Hospital, NIFRS Training Centre and Belfast Metropolitan College at Titanic Quarter. Convenor of the Estates Committee.

Education, Music: Teacher of music in the Preparatory School and Senior school. Has worked in the College for 18 years and is currently a member of the Senior Leadership Team with overall responsibility for Special Educational Needs and Inclusion.

Higher Education, Hospitality and Tourism: Currently Director of Student Plus at Queen’s University Belfast with responsibility for Campus Life and the Student Experience including, Staff and Student Accommodation, Campus Food and Drink, Events and Conferencing, Culture and Arts, Childcare, Sport and the Students’ Union. Previously worked in Sales, Marketing and Business Development as Regional Director for 18 Hilton Hotels in Scotland and Ireland and with a variety of other Hotel Companies and Golf Resorts throughout the UK, Ireland and in Europe. An old girl of Victoria College (1982 -1989), Caroline has two daughters at the College and was elected as a Parent Governor in November 2017 for the period 2017-2021.
