Mrs Karen Quinn, Principal of Victoria College, Belfast

I am delighted to take up my new role as Principal of Victoria College.  As a past pupil and the daughter of a previous Principal, Mrs Andrews, I understand and cherish the history and traditions of the College.  I am very proud of Victoria College which inspires and challenges every pupil to reach their full potential.  It is a privilege to join the school community and I am very much looking forward to the years that lie ahead, building on the past to ensure we provide a holistic educational experience for all our pupils.

Victoria College, a girls’ school with 870 pupils and a dedicated junior campus, is small enough to allow each pupil to be known. A strong commitment to providing education which is tailored to the pupils’ needs and which offers individual support and encouragement pays dividends. We have high expectations for all our pupils and in a positive learning environment, where the level of pastoral care is outstanding, each pupil achieves her full potential and is challenged to be the best she can be.

Our pupils develop confidence and secure the skills and values which will prepare them for their future role in society as responsible and responsive citizens. Our pupils participate in a wide range of clubs, societies and after school activities and each pupil is given the support she needs to become a life long learner able to make informed choices and decisions. The College holds the International School Award and the professional development of staff and the experiences of our pupils are enhanced through our partnerships with schools both at home and abroad.

We are an Investor in People school and we are committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, promoting good relationships and providing opportunities for everyone within a learning society.
