Pupils at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast

On Monday 27th April a group of Year 8 and Year 9 pupils travelled to the Lyric Theatre to take part in a drama workshop with Stephen Beggs, actor and company manager for the Bruiser Theatre Company. 

The pupils are part of the Library Book Club and are currently taking part in activities associated with the Northern Ireland Book Award (see http://www.nibookaward.org.uk/ ). Along with pupils from four other local schools, Stephen led participants through a series of activities before splitting them into groups to devise a tableau and short dramatic scene based on the plots of books shortlisted for the award. This was one of several activities associated with the book award which will be taking place before the end of the year.
