Connie Rogers elected as Student Voice Officer for the SSUNI
On Saturday 30th of August I was elected to the executive as the Student Voice Officer for the SSUNI. The SSUNI (Secondary Students Union of Northern Ireland) represents over 50,000 post-primary students from across Northern Ireland on a variety of issues such as LLW, sexism in schools and examination reform. As the Student Voice Officer my role is to keep up with current affairs and make sure that our voices are heard in decision-making processes. When I was elected at the General Assembly it was brilliant to meet the outgoing executive and hear about their experiences, along with hearing from the Votes at 16 campaign and the outgoing Uachtarán (President) of the ISSU. This is going to be a fantastic experience; I can't wait to see what opportunities are available and I'm so happy that I applied.
